Why You Should become a volunteer at FCF
At Flourishing Communities Foundation, we believe that dynamic memberships are critical to solving complex challenges countrywide. Flourishing Communities Foundation is a vibrant and exciting place to work. There are always many tasks to do in different sectors, such as in the garden, administration, health, music and many others. There is always room for volunteers to join us and help out. You bring nothing but your energy and time and you make a difference in someone’s life. Experience life with us in Uganda volunteering at Flourishing Communities Foundation.
Volunteers at Flourishing Communities Foundation are given extensive training.
Involvement ranges from 7 days to 6 months or any intermediate time commitment.
The basic requirement is an interest and desire to support the impoverished communities, children, and families that are the center of all services we provide. You will not only experience working with us but also have an exciting time experiencing the treasure of being in Uganda, the pearl of Africa.
Due to our emphasis on our mission, our volunteers are required to get involved as much as they can. This includes participating in all our activities to restore hope among local communities experiencing hunger, malnutrition, disease and poverty.
Why You Should Become a Volunteer at Flourishing Communities Foundation
We struggle to help as many children as we can to have a chance at education by offering them sponsorships.
Flourishing Communities Foundation offers an invitation to any volunteer who shows interest and meets all the requirements for volunteering. This invitation is presented at the embassy so you can request a visa to stay in Uganda for the time you will be here.
“F.C.F.” offers advice and support program to departure, we give flight options, what to pack, local accommodation options and arranging airport transfers if required. All volunteer expenses are tagged on the volunteer.
There will be an introduction to Flourishing Communities Foundation’s mission, aims and objectives, and what to expect during your time with us. Orientation includes information about local life, culture and and beliefs of the communities, and how best we can serve them. We also suggest the best accommodations for the volunteer.
You will receive a certificate of completion in appreciation for the time you have volunteered with us.
Flourishing Communities Foundation is a registered and licensed organization. The certificate you will receive is verified and valid.
It can be presented anywhere in any country for a job or any other vacancy or opportunity.
Flourishing Communities Foundation works with a professional and committed staff. However, we need volunteers to help in the operation because there is an increasing demand for our services in communities we serve.
Flourishing Communities Foundation does not charge for the support and services it offers to its volunteers because they work to ensure the fulfillment of the organization’s objectives.The volunteer is only required to cover costs associated with volunteering, just as if you were volunteering somewhere else in your country.

Typical costs include; Airport transfers, Accommodation, Meals, Transport and medications. Any other personal interests like entertainment, travel, are also on the volunteer’s cost.

We encourage all our volunteers outside Uganda to fundraise some money at home before you arrive. Bringing a donation from friends and family to Uganda is unique in that you will immediately and directly see where the money is going.
