Education

We believe that everyone deserves a chance to better living

We Educate

We support the most vulnerable children through education, helping them to get the most from their time at school and providing a foundation for a productive and happy future.

Despite the  many benefits of being able to attend school and receive formal education, the expenses of sending a child to school in Uganda are high for the majority of the parents in local communities, most of whom have low incomes.

The costs of school fees, uniforms, scholastic materials and other items are such that a large number of children have no hope of attending school. Poverty levels make it extremely difficult to develop any savings and in most cases money for school fees is spent on basic needs of life like food in the home.

Education means opportunities and opportunities mean empowerment. By education we are giving children the means to obtain the skills they need to improve their future family life.

How We Deal With It.

We struggle to help as many children as we can to have a chance for education by offering them sponsorship opportunities.

We monitor the attendance and academic performance of the child to ensure their academic success.

We send our children to schools with qualified and professional staff  – teachers. who can best groom them and help them achieve academic  excellence.

We select the best performing schools for our children and we are thankful to all primary and high schools that have partnered with us.

We select best performing schools in for our children and we are thankful to all primary and high schools that have patterned with us.

Our schools offer extra co-curriculum activities like music, dance, drama and sports to our children, which greatly enhances their educational experience.

We Build Schools

One of the projects running currently is the school building project. We are setting up an Education Center  to offer sustainable and reliable  education. Our education system is  quite different from what the majority of the schools offer.  In addition to curriculum studies, we offer basic and income-generating skills to our students and young adults to help them be job creators and not job seekers. We are looking at producing citizens from these disadvantaged communities who are  prepared to excel.
We need to construct a building for classes, consisting of at least five rooms, with a toilet and canteen, which will provide a conductive environment for our students. This has been especially challenging given the weather.  Classes currently meet in a temporary building.

We Offer Alternative  Education and Livelihoods

We empower young people, parents and guardians with vital life skills as well as the resources needed to enter into a productive livelihood and take advantage of employment opportunities within their own communities. A large proportion of people in local communities in Uganda lack professional skills.

Youth unemployment is also a big issue with the unemployment rate for young people ages 15 to 24 currently at 83%. We have launched, and have in the planning stages, programs designed to give skills to young people, women and care givers.

We are conducting community seminars to sensitize and discuss important community development matters. We are humbled to have the support of the communities whenever we conduct these seminars.
